Police are investigating the sudden death of a 2-year-old girl who they say was found unresponsive at an apartment in Worcester.

Emergency responders were dispatched to an apartment on Wellington Street at 11:27 a.m. after receiving a report of a toddler who wasn’t breathing, police say.
The girl was transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
According to the mother of the girl, she found her daughter to be unresponsive just before she called the police. Police say the girl was in fact apparent deadened later he was in fact given to a sanatorium.
Police were actually at the residence Monday morning thinking about family, close friends and observes.
DCF opens an investigation any time the death of a child is reported, the officials added.

Santiago told television reporters that the girl’s teeth were clenched together and he tried to perform CPR.
