Police investigate social media threats against LGBT people
The man is accused of allegedly writing in a Facebook post, “It’s time to clean up Wilton Manors from all you AIDS-infested losers”, and in another post, “If you losers thought the Pulse Nightclub shooting was bad, wait ’til you see what I’m planning for Labor Day”.

Wilton Manors Police spokeswoman Jennifer Bickhardt confirmed the department is part of a local, state, and federal investigation into Jungwirth’s alleged threats and that he has been questioned by law enforcement personnel, but he has not been arrested. Jungwirth has now been interviewed and reportedly advised them he was not responsible for the posts.
Facebook posts made investigating Jungwirth a priority, so much so the Federal Bureau of Investigation is involved.
Federal authorities have joined police in Wilton Manors, Florida in looking into a series of chilling posts threatening to carry out another mass shooting targeting the LGBTQ communities, WKMG-TV reported.
He wrote that “In the meantime”. WMPD will have increased patrol and visibility throughout the holiday weekend, working with local bars and restaurants in an effort to beef up private security. Last night was so confusing online with so many reports that Jungwirth was apprehended and in police custody.
Wilton Manors police and other law enforcement agencies reacted quickly to the Facebook threats. Simply, Jungwirth ordered food, ate a meal, and then simply walked out without paying.
O’Connell said he knows Jungwirth is now not in the Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach area, but their investigation is ongoing. However, he failed to do so, and was booted out of the program for “non-compliance” and being ‘combative.’ Had he completed the program, the charges would have been dropped. Local attorney Ron Baum represents Jungwirth. Messages left on her phone number and another number associated with Jungwirth were not returned.
Nick Berry, an owner of Rumors Bar and Grille in Wilton Manors, told 7News he’s had dealings and disputes with Jungwirth.
It soon became clear he was using the event primarily to scam money out of unsuspecting members of the gay community. It is also before Judge Lerner-Wren. He has a handful of restraining orders against him.
It wouldn’t be the first time Jungwirth visited the area. “He needs to be stopped”, Black warned.

You may remember a post from earlier this year involving certifiable creepcake Craig Jungwirth, the Beach Bear Weekend organizer who took it upon himself to tell The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to “man up”. Each owner denied the charge, and the court has now dismissed two cases when they learned that Jungwirth submitted filing fees with checks that were returned for “insufficient funds”. “Police are asking anyone else who has been threatened by Jungwirth to call them”. “I can assure you that when we have credible, non-sensitive information we will share it with the entire community”.
