CBS2/KCAL9’s Adrianna Weingold reports authorities say it happened around 10:30 p.m. Friday in parking lot “L” while fans walked to their cars after the Mets beat the Dodgers.
No arrests were made and details of the fight haven’t been released. Witnesses said the New York Mets fan was punched and then fell, hitting his head. The victim has reportedly stabilized, but remains in critical condition at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center.

The incident is drawing comparisons to the beating of San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow, who was disabled from brain damage suffered in an attack on Opening Day 2011 in a stadium parking lot outside Dodger Stadium. The perpetrator is still at large, but the police say only that he was a tall man with blond hair. Meanwhile, Dodger Stadium’s reputation as a unsafe place for opposing fans grows once again.
