On Tuesday the president attended a memorial service for the five Dallas officers and called the families of Alton Sterling in Louisiana and Philando Castile in Minnesota to offer condolences.
Jade Dudley with Black Lives Matter says, “Now we’re going to turn around and plant that seed and let it bloom!”
“Yesterday, the president was in Poland and he gave an astonishing speech in which he attacked the police, and I thought it was a coded message”, Savage said.
Hardaway spoke passionately to the other Black Lives Matter protesters to convince them to cross the street, telling them “God created you and he created my brother over there”, pointing at the counterprotesters across the street.
America’s Black Lives Matter movement has jumped continents in the wake of recent fatal police shootings of black men in the United States.
“People have asked me before, ‘Well, is Black Lives Matter a legitimate saying or do all lives matter?’, and my first is all life matters”.
Demonstrators hold a banner with the motto of the black civil rights movement “Black Lives Matter” to show their solidarity with African Americans in the U.S., in Berlin, Germany, July 10, 2016. “We’re not at a point yet where communities of color feel confident that their police departments are serving them with dignity and respect and equality”. When people sit down at the table to drink, the person with the empty glass says “I’m thirsty, my thirst matters”. The video has been viewed more than 4 million times already. “We’re Dallas, we’re Texas and we’re proud”, said T.J. Duncan, of the Back The Blue group. The commitment and professionalism shown by every member of the Portland Police Department is a tremendous example of what makes this city great.
However, it does seem like we are a country more divided than ever before. “I think police brutality has got to stop, as well as brutality against police”.

“It’s to suggest that other folks aren’t experiencing this particular vulnerability and so we shouldn’t get too caught up somehow in this notion that people who are asking for fair treatment are somehow automatically anti-police or trying to only look out for black lives as opposed to others”. They talked about how they both want what’s best for Dallas and the people that live there.
