An amber alert has been issued for the state of MI for a possible child abduction.

Hayward’s father has reassured police that his daughter would not harm his granddaughter, but Duffany said police remain “quite concerned for the little girl” based on her mother’s possible mental instability.
Sapphire Palmer is a 7-year-old white female, 4-feet tall and 55 pounds with green eyes and long red hair. Police say she is delusional and may be armed with a 9mm handgun.
The mother of the missing child Amanda Hayward is believed to be with Stanko and the missing child.
“I don’t believe he would harm Sapphire in any way”, he said, adding that he doesn’t think his daughter would harm Sapphire. “She thinks somebody is watching her or something”. They say the pair is traveling in a red 2001 Ford Escape bearing Michigan license Plate “2HVA18” with a 64-year old acquaintance Douglas Stanko, who is registered as a sex offender on the Michigan Sexual Offender Registry.
They live in the are of Chilson and Bishop Lake Road in Hamburg Township, south of Brighton in Livingston County.
Hayward is described as white, 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, and has long strawberry blonde hairs and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple nightgown.
