Manziel spent months in a drug and alcohol treatment center last offseason and publicly apologized for his antics, but Manziel was caught drinking on video numerous times throughout the 2015 season, and was even spotted in Las Vegas on the eve of the Browns’ season finale.
Earlier this week, a top Browns executive said Manziel’s behavior was hurting his team mates, an indication that he may soon be cut by the team.
Manziel’s agent, Erik Burkhardt, expressed “deep regret” in deciding to end the business relationship with a personal he considers a close friend. The Browns are already rumored to be releasing Manziel in March, but his departure from Cleveland does not guarantee his time in the National Football League will be over for the near future.
Burkhardt says he will remain supportive of the 23-year-old player.

The two reportedly began arguing at the Zaza Hotel in Dallas, where Manziel allegedly hit Crowley. One month earlier, LeBron James had announced he was dropping Manziel as a client in his LRMR marketing firm.
