The other suspect is Tashfeen Malik, 27, who is either his girlfriend or his wife, authorities said.

Two suspects – a male and a female – were killed during a standoff with the police.
At least 14 people have been shot dead and 17 injured in a shooting at a San Bernardino community center in California.
The chief also expressed confidence that Farook and Malik were the only two perpetrators, adding that there “had to be some degree of planning” beforehand. Police said the pair were believed to have had a romantic relationship with one another.
“I am very sad that people lost their lives”, he said. They burst into a conference room, which was rented by the San Bernardino Health Department for a banquet for its employees, and started shooting. Police may have also found an explosive device inside the Inland Regional Center, the site of the shooting.
The gun attack on the centre is the worst mass shooting since the killings of 20 schoolchildren and six staff at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut in December 2012.
Another individual, who may be a third suspect, was detained by police after being caught running from the scene of the shoot-out. However, Burguan said that police still do not know the motive behind the violent attack. Khan said in a press conference held by the Council on American-Islamic Relations he had not spoken to Farook for a week or so. Khan says photos from Facebook are of Farook’s brother who was at work at the time of the shooting.
Police are serving a search warrant on a home in Redlands, California, in connection with the deadly shooting at a social services facility in neighboring San Bernardino.
San Bernardino is a city of about 200,000 people, 60 miles (100 km) east of Los Angeles.
Meredith Davis, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Justice, said the two shooters were each armed with a long gun and a handgun.
The FBI says it’s a possibility that the shooting is “terrorism”.

“I think we’re leaning more towards a pipe bomb-type design, but specifically what it was made of, I don’t have that right now”, Burguan said.
