Toronto Police have identified one of the suspects sought in connection with an alleged assault and harassment of two women on the TTC on Wednesday night.

Two men and a woman boarded the train and began to make racist comments about two Muslim women, they also suggested the women could be terrorists and the female suspect allegedly pushed one of the women wearing a hijab.

Ross says he has no information on any other similar incidents on the TTC, adding that the transit system “is, and must remain, safe and secure for all who use it”.

Meanwhile, a march will be held this morning for a Muslim woman who police say was attacked while walking to pick up her son from a public school in Flemingdon Park.

“The TTC condemns this act, it’s completely unacceptable”, said Ross. “We will not tolerate this behaviour and we deeply apologize to anybody hurt by this”.
