Their spree was briefly stalled when the suspects’ SUV got stuck in a muddy field while trying to flee the bank.

The suspects ditched the van outside Sheridan High School.

One person was arrested but police are still looking for two or three other suspects involved in Wednesday’s bank robbery, carjacking and shootings in suburban Denver. They eventually left that vehicle behind, took off on foot and shot one person during a carjacking, a Lakewood Police spokesman said. The school was placed on lockdown Wednesday, and was closed Thursday. They were last seen near the intersection of Oxford and Federal Boulevard.

All suspects are described as black males, two having bald heads and one possibly with hair in corn rows.

Anyone who may have information that could help detectives in the investigation is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department, their local police or Metro Crime Stoppers. Both victims were transported to hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries.
