Police respond to reported shooting at North Carolina mall
A mall in North Carolina has been shut down after as many as 10 gunshots were heard inside the shopping centre.

The Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, North Carolina was evacuated Saturday after reports of a shooting on the scene.
Police say they did not find anyone suffering from gunshot wounds, and they can not confirm that shots were fired.
Police say that nobody is being allowed in or out of the mall.
An incident was reported around 2:30 p.m. near the food court inside the mall.
Police responding to a shooting at a busy mall in Raleigh say they haven’t found anyone with gunshot wounds. He said he heard as many as four shots.
They said they had not made any arrests by late afternoon. The shooter fired shots in the food court area.
Others took to social media to report they were hiding in various store rooms and waiting for police.
A video shot inside the Crabtree Valley mall shows the panic, as people tried to get out of the mall as fast as they could.
Warring said they staying behind the barricade for about 45 minutes.
Tony Rice, a contributor to WRAL.com, a local television station’s website, said he sheltered in place when people began screaming and running from the mall.
‘Then they let us out, ‘ she told The News and Observer. She said she knew it was time to go when “all the people were running”. A witness told WNCN’s Amy Cutler that she heard gunshots fired.

Police escorted customers back to the mall parking lot from the Marriott across the street where they had waited in the heat for hours.
