Police say missing girl found in Missouri

Police said they found Schroeder and the girl on Tuesday at his house in Marthasville, about 40 miles west of St. Louis.

Police say locating Boroviak was with help from the St. Charles County Police Department, Brooklyn Ohio Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, MO-ICAC Task Force, Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force.

A 41-year-old man has been arrested, but no charges have yet been filed. Deputies say they’re executing search warrants.

Prosecutors said in court documents that the two met online and Schroeder drove to OH to pick her up. Police say the girl was last seen November 8th when she went to let the family dog out at her home in Brooklyn, Ohio.

Schroeder told authorities after he was taken into custody that he thought the girl was 18 and that someone else had brought her to Missouri, court records said.

Prosecutors said that the federal charges – production of child pornography and transportation of a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity – carry a potential penalty of 15 years to life. In November, police said, “At this time, while her location is yet unknown, several pieces of credible information suggests that Alexis had made plans to run away”.
