Police say multiple people have died from several shootings that appear to be related in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area.

Jason Brian Dalton, 45, was taken into custody early Sunday and was being questioned over shootings at three different locations in Kalamazoo County, police said.
Police in Kalamazoo County, Michigan are searching for a suspect who is randomly shooting people, at least six have been killed.
Authorities didn’t respond to the next shooting until around 10 p.m. Getting said four women died and a 14-year-old girl was “severely injured” at a Cracker Barrel restaurant off Interstate 94.
Matyas said authorities did not believe the shootings were targeted at specific people, describing them as “our worst case scenario”.
Dalton has no criminal record, Getting said.
Authorities initially said a 14-year-old girl was among those killed, but Getting later said the information was erroneous. “[This crime was] completely random, unpredictable and unprovoked”, said Hadley.
Just over four hours later and 15 miles away, a father and son were fatally shot while looking at cars at the dealership. Mr Matyas said the man did not resist when approached by officers, and that weapons were found in his vehicle.
Police believe the same gunman is responsible for all the shootings. “Hopefully when we interview the individual he’ll disclose that to us”.
The terrifying night began around 6 p.m. Saturday when police responded to the Meadows Townhomes complex, located on Kalamazoo’s Northeast Side. Police have arrested the suspect in the Saturday, Feb. 20, multiple shootings.
