Police in Los Angeles have raided the home of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons in a child pornography investigation. The search is not related to Simmons and his family, Lopez said.

Someone is believed to have downloaded child porn either on one of the computers belong to them or using the Internet access in the family’s account.
According to CNN, police said in a statement that the 65-year-old rocker nor his family are considered suspects in the investigation. The ICAC launched in 1998 with ten task forces across the U.S. and now boasts a network of 61 coordinated Task Forces “representing more than 3,000 Federal, state and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies”.
Both Gene and his wife, Shannon Tweed, have taken to Twitter to update their fans on the situation.
Authorities requested Simmons and his family not to discuss the case to avoid undermining the investigation, publicist Cheyanne Baker said in a statement.
Officials are not providing details, citing an ongoing investigation, CNN reports.

Lieutenant John Jenal of the Los Angeles Police Department told reporters that the warrant was served on Thursday at the family home in Benedict Canyon, near Beverly Hills.
