A man was shot by a police officer outside of Dallas’s Love Field Airport on Friday afternoon, forcing security delays at the massive transportation hub.

Police said this black sedan is the vehicle hit with rocks by a man at Dallas Love Field.
The video shows an officer holding a gun on an individual, telling that person to stay down. The officer discharged his weapon “a number of times”, police said.
Police said the altercation began at a auto that was pulled up to the curb outside the baggage claim doors.
A video posted by Instagram user @flashyfilms- and credited to Bryan Armstrong also shows the commotion on the curb outside baggage claim at Dallas Love Field.
She says, “I crouched down on the ground”.
Officials said they did not immediately have the suspect’s identification, but they do not believe he had a firearm.
An airport spokesman says police have a “situation” at Dallas Love Field under control after reports of shots fired outside a baggage claim. At least eight gunshots can be heard as a man’s voice repeatedly yells “stand down!” Another officer is seen on the video brandishing a stun gun but apparently never fired it.
The airfield remains open and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is working to secure all areas of the building and screen a backlog of people and baggage created by the incident.
Delayed Southwest Airlines flights began departing the airport about 4:30 p.m., the company announced. For that reason, everyone had to be sent outside security and cycled back through the airport’s single security checkpoint.
Because some people ran through security when the shots were fired, all flights were stopped, even those already on the taxiway.
Love Field has one major checkpoint used by all passengers at 20 gates for flights on Southwest, Virgin and Delta Air Lines. “I didn’t know where the bullets were going”.
Beattie said this is the first shooting in the history of Love Field, located a few miles from downtown.
