Three members of the same family were found murdered and one seriously injured on Saturday morning at upscale Palm Avenue residence of South Kolkata. Interestingly, Jessica lives in a house that is opposite to government apartment where former West Bengal Chief Minister and CPI-M leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee stays.
Jessica’s husband Neil Fonseca, who was found critically injured, claimed that his wife killed her two sons before killing herself.
Meanwhile, Neil Fonseca’s mother, daughter and sister-in-law, who were sleeping beside the room where the murders were committed, stated that they knew nothing about the incident.
She then attacked him with a knife and stabbed the twins and Neil hit her back with a dumbell and then slit her throat with a kitchen knife, he wrote.
Preliminary investigation points out that a family dispute could have resulted in the murders.
“There were cuts and marks of injuries by a heavy object on the bodies”. He said that they had a fight over some personal issue.
The family had gone to a restaurant last evening and on return some arguments were heard from inside, he said.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot and sniffer dogs were also brought in by officers of the homicide squad.
