Poll reveals Wisconsin’s support for Carson, disapproval of Walker

Former neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson is leading the race for the Republican presidential nomination among Colorado voters, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday which also finds that he is one of a number of Republicans who would soundly beat Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in the Centennial State in a general election match-up.

The poll shows Florida Sen.

Clinton loses to the billionaire real estate mogul by eleven percentage points in Colorado, with just 37% to Trump’s 48%. Ted Cruz leads her by 13 points, and Donald Trump has an 11-point advantage on Clinton.

Tim Malloy, the assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, described it as a “chilly if not frigid reception” in Colorado for Clinton. A victory there is seen as essential to GOP hopes to retaking the White House.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) eviscerates Clinton by 16 whole percentage points in a genereal election showdown.

Trump led in Marquette’s previous survey in September when he was at 20 percent and Carson at 16 percent.

Both are within the 4.2 percent margin of error for this poll.
