Poll shows Trump and Clinton in dead heat in NC

After the Democratic National Convention in July, polls showed Clinton’s lead over Trump ballooning to upward of 10 points in early August before returning to tighter margins in recent weeks.

Last week, the same weekly survey gave Clinton 48 percent to Trump’s 44 percent, and thus it appears that she has slightly increased her lead over the mogul.

There were also interesting polling developments in two battleground states. “And yet we’re minimum tied”, Trump said at a rally in Kenansville, North Carolina, on Tuesday. In the Gallup Poll, his job approval was 65 percent among 18- to 29-year-olds, 66 percent among non-whites, and 91 percent among African-Americans.

Among likely voters, Clinton gets 46 percent to Trump’s 41 percent.
