The reported decision has surprised many in the industry for the board has in the past had issues with similar scenes, like with the last James Bond movie, Spectre.

It seems to have found favour in the eyes of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) who have cleared the film which has several kissing scenes, without any cuts.

The much-awaited film is Hrithik Roshan’s return to the big screen after 2014’s commercial success, “Bang Bang”. This epic love story features three passionate lip-locks and Pooja and Hrithik’s chemistry in those scenes is already being talked about. He said, “As for the kisses being left intact, I guess they came across as they were meant to, as manifestations of pure love”.

Mohenjo Daro marks the reunion of Ashutosh Gowariker and Hrithik Roshan after working together for a blockbuster Jodha Akbar which also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. “And we never went that way”.

Mohenjo Daro is set in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation, dating back to 2,600 BC.
