Pope canonizes Mother Teresa, recalls her commitment to the poor, unborn
In an article published by PBS News Hour, according to the Catholic church, before Mother Teresa’s death, she cured an Indian woman who was believed to have a stomach cancer and a Brazilian man who had a viral brain infection.

“Her message to the rest of us was direct – we should seek our salvation in the God who comes to us in the poor and the outcast”.
The Archdiocese of Miami held a special mass Sunday with the missionaries of charity recalling her visits to Miami. Credited as the curer of the sick, Mother Teresa dedicated her life to helping those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and leprosy.
It seems like Pope Francis is a big Rita Ora fan.
“Her heart, she gave it to the world”, said Charlotte Samba, a 52-year-old mother of three who travelled with a church group from Gabon for the Mass. “Mercy, forgiveness, good works: It is the heart of a mother for the poor”.
The pizzas were served by 250 of Mother Teresa’s sisters along with some 50 brothers of the male branch of the Missionaries, and other volunteers who offered their services for the occasion. “There were scandals affiliated with the church and corruption, resignation of Pope Benedict and the loss of direction of the church”, he said.
Speaking of Teresa, the Pope noted how she “bowed down before those who were spent … seeing in them their God-given dignity”.
“The continuing work of Mother Teresa is here with her sisters, she’s been here in the past but she continues to be here”.
“Today, I pass on this emblematic figure of holiness!”
Critics say she did little to alleviate the pain of the terminally ill and nothing to tackle the root causes of poverty. “Even if there’s no place left for me to sit”.
The church’s newest saint won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. In her smallness, she revealed the calling we all have.

“She has now been proclaimed one of the holy, already in heaven, and we can pray to her, we can venerate her, we can ask her intercession for help”, said Bishop Peter Libasci of the Diocese of Manchester. “Singing What Child Is This to celebrate her life and legacy will be a moment I cherish forever”.
