Pope declares Mother Teresa Saint

With Sunday, Sept. 4, marking the canonization of Mother Teresa, Pope Francis honored the nun who cared for the “poorest of the poor” as the epitome of his call for mercy. “Mother Teresa belonged to Kolkata, and she has been declared a saint”. I live each day to be like Mother Teresa and I am glad that she’s a saint and is confirmed to be in heaven watching over us.

On the facade of Saint Peter’s Basilica hung a huge tapestry with a portrait of Mother Teresa, one of the modern world’s most recognizable faces. “Then I flew down to Calcutta”.

WHEN Sister Margaret Sculley met Mother Teresa in the 1960s she knew there was something special about her.
