Pope petitioned to bless DC Metro

With Monday’s commute bringing another Metro woe, some riders think the only way to fix the system is through divine intervention.

The sleeve will be given for free while supplies last.

Pope Francis is being petitioned to bless the Washington, D.C. Metrorail subway system during his visit to the nation’s capital.

At this point, Metro needs all the help they can get to turn things around, so why not accept a blessing from the Pope?

The system also wants patrons to have their fare cards loaded and ready upon arriving at Metro stations so as to minimize delays.

During the Papal Visit, traffic congestion and public transportation crowding are expected to test the city’s capacity to handle the influx of tourists and pilgrims.

“I would love it Pope Francis actually blessed the Metro”, Rosenheck told The Washington Post.

Petition supporter Hayley Margules added: “Please sign this, even if you don’t live in DC”. As work began on the broken transformer, trains operated at lower speeds when passing through the area so as to reduce power draw.
