Porcello remains unbeaten at Fenway, Sox beat Twins 8-7
Twins vs Red Sox Sunday in Boston – In a game that will feature two very hot starters, Tommy Milone and the Minnesota Twins will be going up against Rick Porcello and the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Sunday.

The Red Sox trail the first-place Baltimore Orioles by a half game in the American League East. He hurled 6 2/3 innings and the Red Sox won 8-7 over the Minnesota Twins to earn a split of a four-game series.
Boston’s Dustin Pedroia was at the plate and fouled one off the catcher.
“Gibson was the story”, Twins manager Paul Molitor said.
“Instead of a potential one-run deficit coming off the field, they turn in four extra runs and now you’ve got a mountain to climb”, Molitor said. Kelly struggled mightily with his control and consistency as a starter this year, mixing two solid starts with three horrendous ones to obtain his 2-0 record and lofty 8.46 ERA in the majors. Ramirez began the game with eight home runs this season. The team announced later that Suzuki got stitches on his chin. And while the swirling wind that beset Fenway (and knocked a monitor into Jerry Remy’s head) might have had something to do with it, at this point there’ve been far too many excuses for Price and far too few results. Bryon Buxton and Kennys Vargas each had two RBIs.
– Kicking off the Sox’ five-run fifth inning was edroia, whose 10th homer of the season – sailing just over the left field wall – gave his team the lead for good.
“I’ve just been in a good groove, and I’ve had really good run support, guys have been swinging the bats really well and played great defense behind me”, Porcello said. “They were still down, but they were able to lift them”. He becomes the first Red Sox pitcher to win his first 10 home starts in a season since Curt Schilling managed the feat in 2004.
He has already faced the Twins once this season, allowing four runs (one earned), five hits and two walks with five strikeouts in a seven-inning no-decision June 12.
Brad Ziegler got the final three outs for his first save with Boston after being acquired from Arizona earlier this month.
Ramirez’s homer – his fifth in five games – went into the first row of Monster seats, with a fan making a nice standing, two-handed grab, to make it 3-2.
“That was a play that we’ve seen [made]”, Farrell said of Vargas’ pop up before saying the same of the Kepler triple. Suzuki had just returned to the lineup after resting Friday. Betts left Friday’s game with soreness in the knee. Martinez had quite the experience in right on Saturday night, misplaying multiple fly balls in the windy conditions at Fenway. But without Matt Barnes or Junichi Tazawa available Saturday, the good times came to a crashing halt. Buxton struck out on a 3-2 pitch in the dirt from Tazawa to end the inning.
Red Sox: LHP Drew Pomeranz makes his second start for Boston Monday after being acquired from San Diego. The left-hander gave up five runs, raising his ERA to 4.51.
