The engine is paired with Porsche’s seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and is said to get the Macan GTS to 60 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds if you pony up the bucks for the Sport Chrono package and its launch-control function.

Featuring a re-engineered chassis, 20 hp more power and uprated brakes, the dynamic GTS includes attributes “keen drivers” will appreciate, says Porsche. The technical basis for this comprises the V6 bi-turbo engine of the Macan S with a displacement of three litres, which is supplemented by the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) with flexible power distribution to all four wheels.
Six-piston brakes clamp 14.1-inch discs in front while single-piston calipers work with 13-inch discs in the back. Acceleration from 0-62 miles per hour takes 5.2 secs – or 5.0 secs with the optional Sport Chrono package – while top speed is 160 miles per hour. Features in the typical Porsche GTS styling round off the sporty impression. This combination provides adjustable ride height and damper stiffness.
The standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system has been tuned to offer a sportier ride and 15 mm lower ride height compared to the Macan S.
The GTS Macan can also be recognised at first glance by exterior accents in black – in high gloss above the waistline and in a lustrous matt finish in the lower areas of the body. The door embellishments are matte black and have glossy GTS logos, and LED headlamps are among the options.
From a visual standpoint, the Porsche Macan GTS adopts a number of small unique design elements to distinguish it from other Macan variants.
The optional Connect Plus module comes with online navigation with real-time traffic information and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay. An optional GTS interior package, featuring a Carmine Red tachometer and contrast stitching, seat belts, and embroidered GTS logos on the headrests is also available.

The new Porsche communication management system (connectivity, infotainment), which was introduced in the 911 earlier this year, is brought to the company’s SUV/CUV line for the first time. Connect Plus expands on Connect by including a hot-spot capable LTE modem for connectivity.
