On March 18, Tracy Anderwald was swimming in the family’s backyard pool in Portland, Texas, with her five-year-old daughter, Allison.

Allison, 5, jumps into the pool after seeing her mother Tracey floating face down.
A five-year-old girl saved her unconscious mother from drowning.
As for Tracy and Allison, they are looking forward to finally leaving the hospital and going home, mom calling daughter her “tiny hero”.
Security cameras in the home captured what happened next, as young Allison, who was at the edge of the pool at the time, dove in to her mom’s rescue as her unmoving body began to sink to the bottom of the pool.
“[Tracy Anderwald] was really heavy, and I could only get the top part of her out”, Hunt told KrisTV.
It took several tries, but Allison didn’t give up. ‘And then her other daughters ran over and helped me get her out, and so, Allison was able to do that on her own.
“The doctors explained to us that had Tracy been underwater any longer, she probably wouldn’t be with us right now”, Hunt, 32, said. Tracy Anderwald is expected to recover and was scheduled to be released from the hospital on Tuesday.
Anderwald said Allison learned to swim at 2-years-old and that she’s amazed the child knew what to do.
“I believe [Allison] had a greater power telling her what to do”, Hunt said.

Only when Anderwald’s head is clear of the water, does her daughter run to get help.
