Sunday’s temperatures are forecast to be similar, with partly sunny skies and a slight chance of rain.

The mid-week rain is out of the way and next week Orange County could return to warmer temperatures, weather officials said.

A fast moving storm system will move off the Mid-Atlantic Coast Sunday night and Monday morning. The high Saturday will be around low-50s in Springfield and Boston, high-40s in Worcester.

There’s a 50 percent chance of rain Sunday evening before 10 p.m.in Springfield then a mix of rain and snow between 10 p.m. and midnight.

“Expect precipitation to change over to all rain from south to north during Saturday morning as the precipitation tapers off by midday”, forecasters wrote in a weather discussion.

Thursday will see a 30 percent chance of rain and snow showers on an otherwise partly-sunny day with a high of 44 and a low of 29.

As for wind, the peak gust in Grand Rapids was 70 miles per hour Thursday, Feb. 19. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent. High pressure should bring a brief sunny start to Friday before a weak upper-level wave brings clouds and a few snow showers during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36.
