Portraying Pinky in ‘Udta Punjab’ was ‘biggest challenge’ for Alia

This is because Alia Bhatt says an Oscar is as important as marriage for most girls. In a recent interview about her upcoming movie project ‘Udta Punjab’, she responded to question about marriage as, “I only think about that one day when I am standing in front of people, receiving an Oscar”.

While most little girls grow up dreaming of their ideal wedding day, Alia Bhatt seems to have a bigger vision.

Udta Punjab, a highly talked about film, being keenly anticipated by a large section of youth is slated to release on June 17. “Not only that they also want the makers to remove any reference of the state in the film or cities thereof”. Even at the radio station on Friday, only Shahid and Alia were there.

Speaking about Shahid’s long locks, director Abhishek Chaubey shared, “Shahid who has lived as Tommy Singh for a long period of time certainly missed the grungy look while shooting for the song”.

When asked about her own performance, she said “I had no emotions to tap into”.

What if Punjab is missing from “Udta Punjab”? He gave me the view I did’t have.

She made me swear that when we marry my hair colour that was regular would be sported by me. “I could never react naturally, the way Pinky, my character, does”, she added about her role in ‘Udta Punjab’.

Pankaj, who can now be seen in “Nil Battey Sannata”, said: “No, I haven’t played any role in “Udta Punjab”, but I must say that Abhishek is a prolific director”.
