Possible human remains found in Seattle recycling bin
A Seattle homeowner found three adult body parts, including a foot, in a recycling bin over the weekend, police and local media said on Sunday.

The unidentified resident, who lives in Seattle’s Central District, made the grisly discovery Saturday around 4 p.m. after returning from a trip out of town, KIRO 7 reported.
On Saturday evening, the King Co. medical examiner responded and confirmed the presence of likely human remains.
Seattle PD investigating possible body parts found in dumpster at 21st and Pine in Capitol Hill.
Seattle Police Sgt. Mike Renner described the parts as “fresh”.
Authorities said Saturday night they received a call from a homeowner on the 1600 block of 21st Avenue who had called 911 to report suspicious items in a recycling bin.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office will now try to identify the person they belonged to.
Neighbor Gunnar Lee-Peterson told KIRO7: ‘I can not fathom what would have gone on.
Homicide detectives didn’t find anything in other trash receptacles in the area, Michaud said, according to the Times.
Other neighbors noticed the police activity just a few minutes later, but didn’t immediately know what was wrong.

Upon further investigation, the SPD did confirm the remains found were human.
