Potrero Fire: Firefighters battle 50-acre brush fire near Thousand Oaks
Ventura County fire personnel were battling a 50-acre brush fire south of Thousand Oaks on Saturday afternoon.

No injuries were reported. The two-alarm brush fire was reported at 1:38 a.m.at Trentwood Drive and Potrero Road.
The Ventura County Fire Department says that several spot fires are threatening a mobile home park and other structures in the area.
At one point the blaze threatened multiple Southern California Edison transmission lines that fed the Calabasas and Agoura areas, but the lines were successfully defended and service was not interrupted, the department added.
Fire crews said they will continue to monitor the fire throughout the day, particularly due to a high likelihood of Santa Ana winds.
Air tankers, as well as a Firehawk helicopter with a specialized crew of wildfire firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, have been called in to assist VCFD battle the fire.
More than 300 firefighters and several aircrafts dropping retardant were working to quell the blaze Saturday morning.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
