Potter play hype shows the world is still mad about Harry
At midnight on the July 31, Harry Potter’s (and J.K. Rowling’s) birthday, you can download the script as an ebook online. It will include music and Potter-themed events, food and tents – from Three Broomsticks to Honeydukes and a Care of Magical Creatures area.

The schoolboy can read an average 400-page book in under two hours using techniques he learnt from his grandmother Susan Norman, a speed-reading expert.
“There’s really nothing else like it”. On July 31, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” part one and two will be released to the public.
The two-part play – which is set 19 years after J.K. Rowling’s books and spin-off movies – has its official opening in London’s West End on Saturday (07.30.16) and producers Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender are working on plans to stage the show in NY.
The book is actually the rehearsal script, not a novel, but acts as the eighth official installment in the Harry Potter book series. The story follows Harry, now an overworked employee at the Ministry of Magic, and his younger son Albus Severus Potter.
A fancy dress competition which is being held between 11am and midday – where you can come dressed as your favourite Harry Potter character and all photo’s will be published in the Echo as part of a competition. Potter fans can go to different bookstores and join the book parties.
Jami Davis, store manager of the Hamburg Pavilion Barnes & Noble, said his store will offer wand making, face painting, the separating of people into houses and showings of Harry Potter movies.
Still, Hamm, Caradonna and Hall said advance sales have been strong. Book sellers are confidently predicting it will be the top seller of 2016.
