POTUS Thinks Trump Is “Woefully Unprepared” To Be President

The irony, of course, is that Mr Obama’s remarks likely make it more hard for the party’s top men to renounce their standard-bearer, lest they appear to be caving to their Democratic nemesis.

Obama remarked that Republican denunciations of Trump “ring hollow” as they continue to endorse Trump.

“It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his life!” said Pierson.

Khan, during last week’s Democratic National Convention, blasted Trump for his divisive remarks and proposal to temporary ban Muslims entering the country and divisive tone.

Mr Obama said he had had policy differences with previous Republican presidents and candidates – but added that he had never thought they could not function as president.

President Barack Obama has lashed out at Donald Trump with his harshest critique yet.

Trump later tweeted, “Mr. Khan, who does not know me, viciously attacked me from the stage of the DNC and is now all over T.V. doing the same – Nice!”

Ryan McGill still grieves the loss of one of his best friends, a fellow pilot who was shot down during the Iraq war. Being 77 and a political junkie, I have witnessed political battles since President Dwight Eisenhower, I have watched Clinton be accused, but nothing has ever been proven. “I think it just means he’s concerned I’m going to win”, he claimed.

He warned that a Trump presidential election victory could herald a very strong turn to the right around the world.

Khan was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq in 2004, when Clinton was serving in the US Senate but Obama had yet to be elected to national office. Trump has taken a more radical anti-free-trade stance, threatening to tear up the 22-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement and slap punitive tariffs on goods imported from Mexico and China. “When you say your job building buildings is akin to our sacrifice, you are attacking our sacrifice”, they wrote. Trump later criticized Khan’s wife, who stood beside him during the DNC speech, with Trump insinuating that she was not allowed to speak.

Katrina Pierson was not the only Trump surrogate to wade into the Khan debate on Tuesday.

The president said that Republican leaders, on a daily basis, have to repudiate what has been coming out of Trump.

Trump spent the days after winning the Republican nomination criticizing a US district court judge’s Mexican heritage.

Those who have worked with him say that in private meetings he can often appear amenable to putting a controversy aside. But the businessman can quickly be drawn back in by an interview, especially if he believes he’s already answered the question, or if he grows irritated by commentary on cable television.

At the Democratic convention last week Khizr Khan paid tribute to his son Humayun’s valor.

Donald Trump had even said earlier that he did not regard John McCain as a veteran because he was captured.

Mr Obama said one of the major strategic shifts of his presidency, re-balancing America’s focus away from Europe and the Middle-East to the rapidly-growing Asia-Pacific, had been a success.

Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt said the Khans “deserve to be heard and respected”. In both, he said, he came to his decision to support Clinton in part because of Trumps comments about Khizr and Ghazala Khan, the parents of the fallen American soldier.

Obama to Republican leaders: Why are you still endorsing Trump?
