Power of Arsene Wenger Means He Decides When He Goes – Arsenal Legend
Arsenal managed to defeat Norwich City on Saturday, despite mass protests against Arsène Wenger’s reign.

The Telegraph says that Arsenal will honour the remainder of Arsene Wenger’s contract, which runs until 2017, and will not make the decision to axe the long-serving manager from his post. The significance of the number 12 is that it has been 12 years since the Gunners last won the Premier League title.
“I can understand the frustration of our fans but despite that we want to support our team and the best chance you can give to a team is to be behind them”.
The 66-year-old has reminded his detractors that it was his commitment to the cause that secured the club the funds to complete the construction of their new grounds in 2006, as the pressure continues to build on the faltering Frenchman. “Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do that this season”.
There are reports that Arsenal supporters groups are set to join forces on Saturday in a bid to protest the continued trophy-less seasons at the club. You want to make the fans happy and I’m sorry if I don’t achieve it. I’m irritated and frustrated if I can not keep people happy. “That is what it is about”, he added.
Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger has said that backing from the majority of the English football club’s fans will not tempt him to try and match Alex Ferguson’s 26-year Manchester United reign. I am in a public job and I have to live with this judgement, as long as it is respectful.
“Under what I was told, the whole stadium would be white”, said a relaxed Wenger after. If it is only opinion then we have to accept that.
“We had to sell our best players every year to survive, but we didn’t do three years out of five in the Champions League”. We are disappointed, but we have to fight.
“The banks wanted consistency to guarantee that we pay (them) back”.
“He has never stopped me in the transfer market, He is very ambitious, we all are”.

Last term Arsenal finished third with 75 points, a total they can not now reach, even if they win their two remaining matches this season, which come against Manchester City (away) and Aston Villa (home).
