Power outage delays JetBlue flights nationwide

JetBlue’s website was down and fliers told of delayed flights early Thursday afternoon after a power outage affected one of the carrier’s data centers.

The Long Island City-based airline posted a message on social media, saying: “We’re experiencing intermittent network issues due to a data center power outage”. This person said JetBlue staff at New York’s LaGuardia airport said booking systems were impacted and no flights were departing.

The airline says it is working on the problem and hopes to have it resolved soon.

Customers throughout the country have reportedly experienced travel delays and long lines.

Other customers had trouble accessing JetBlue’s website and mobile app.
