‘Power Rangers’ actor Ricardo Medina charged for murder of roommate with sword

But authorities continued investigating the 38-year-old actor and the day he stabbed housemate Josh Sutter multiple times in the midst of a heated argument over his girlfriend.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday at the Antelope Valley Branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Department A01.

Medina, 36, was arrested again on Thursday, January 14, 2016, and charged with one count of murder, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirms to Us. Prosecutors are asking that the bail be set at $1 million. The two men were reportedly arguing about Medina’s girlfriend.

He faces 26 years to life in prison if convicted.

Medina’s attorney at the time said Sutter was a houseguest in the Green Valley home. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department did a further investigation, which is ongoing, the DA said today.

Medina played the red Power Ranger on “Power Rangers Wild Force” in 2002 and in other productions involving the character, according to his IMDb profile. He would return to the franchise in 2011, playing Deker in 24 episodes of “Power Rangers Samurai”.
