‘Power’ Season 3 Premiere Sets All-Time Viewership Record For Starz

This breaks a new viewership record for the cable channel, which was previously held by Outlander’s season two premiere with 1.46 million viewers.

But the remarkable thing about “Power” is that it’s steadily increased its audience over the last two seasons, and it won the Sunday ratings race despite airing on a network that has only 23.6 million subscribers, or a little more than half of Netflix’s USA footprint.

Power was created and produced by rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent with showrunner and executive producer Courtney Kemp Agboh, and airs in more than 175 countries/territories worldwide. “In Curtis, we not only have an huge talent but an executive producer who brings a unique perspective, an authentic voice and passionate fan base that has helped in a large part propel the success of the series”. Power season three is ten episodes deep and broadcasts exclusively on Starz at 9 p.m. EST.

Said Kemp: “Chris Albrecht and the Starz team have believed in this show from the very beginning”.

STARZ made the announcement yesterday (Jul. 19), and the cast was quick to thank the fans for their support.

This also means that about 14% of people with Starz tuned in to the “Power” premiere Sunday night-a figure that doesn’t include streaming through the Starz app or the Starz add-on to Amazon Prime.

“I knew Power was going to be something special from the first concept meeting I had with Mark Canton”, 50 said in a statement.

The third season of the fairly new, crime-drama television series “Power” had apparently broken numerous viewership records when its new episode debuted over the weekend.

The story revolves around the protagonist by the name of James St. Patrick.
