To the promotion’s credit, previous year one man used his pass to deliver take-out pasta to Utah’s homeless population in an endeavor he called “Random Acts of Pasta”, so it’s not all marinara with no sense of heart.
This year, Olive Garden is throwing a twist into the mix: not only can you buy an individual Never Ending Pasta Pass, but they are also offering a Family Pass!
The company is selling 1,000 individual passes for $100 each and 1,000 family passes for $300 each. In addition to pasta, the passes cover sauces, toppings, soup or salad, breadsticks and sodas.
Olive Garden decided bring back the promotion after the restaurant chain sold out of the passes in 45 minutes past year, and generated quite a buzz for the chain restaurant.
The company has announced that its Never Ending Pasta Pass will go on sale at 2 p.m. Thursday, Eastern time, which translates to 11 a.m. Las Vegas time.

Jose Duenas, the executive vice president of marketing, told the AP: “We see it as a manifestation of Italian generosity”. Without the Pasta Pass, guests can enjoy Never Ending Pasta Bowl starting at just $9.99 throughout the seven-week promotion beginning October. 5. Sales at certain locations have increased over the past three quarters, due to higher pricing and a menu switch-up; customer visits, however, are still slipping as people leave Olive Garden behind for other dining choices.
