A player checks her Powerball lottery numbers in a drawing.
The next chance to win is Wednesday, January 6th.
The largest Powerball jackpot won in Nebraska occurred in February 2006 when a group of eight coworkers at the ConAgra Foods ham and corned beef plant in Lincoln split a $365 million jackpot. There have now been 14 drawings held since a player in Westerville, Ohio, won a $200 million top prize November 13. Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
That jackpot could grow based on increased ticket sales. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The jackpot has grown for 17 consecutive drawings with no jackpot victor.
The Lottery encourages the holder of this winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at any of Lottery’s seven area offices or at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County.
Lucky for Life draws at 10:35 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. On the other, it’s $2 a ticket, and that’s a pretty cheap price for a dream. Three contestants took home $1 million apiece.
One of those tickets was sold in Pennsylvania, but lottery officials have not said where it was sold.
