In fact, it’s the sixth largest jackpot in the history of America’s two highest-paying lotteries. Drawings are broadcast each Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT.
No one has won Powerball’s largest prize since November 4.
The Powerball lottery is held in 44 states, Washington, D.C.; Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, and drawings take place Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tickets must be purchased by 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday to be eligible for this drawing.
And it’s easier to win the Powerball jackpot than to pick the ideal March Madness bracket. It’s worth $275.4 million if claimed as a one-time cash payment.
Tonight’s Mega Millions drawing features a $145 million jackpot since no one correctly picked Friday’s winning numbers of 7, 18, 37, 38 and 39 with the Mega Ball of 9. Players win the jackpot by matching five numbers from a field of 69 numbers and one Powerball number from a field of 26 numbers.
Tickets are just $2 each and you have a 1 in 292 million chance to strike rich.
DE has not had a Powerball victor since May 2013 when an anonymous ticket holder split a $50 million jackpot.

Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state. Steve Tran, a delivery truck driver in northern California, claimed half of the prize while Ira Curry of Stone Mountain, Georgia claimed the other half.
