There was no victor after the Powerball drawing Saturday night, so the jackpot is still up for grabs. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.
The last time a jackpot in the game reached this high was back in February 2015, when three winning tickets split a grand prize of $564 million.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a PowerBall jackpot at this level.
Four players matched 5 numbers (without the red Powerball number).
The $334 million jackpot was the 12th-largest in history. In August of 2012, Donald Lawson of Lapeer won a $337 million jackpot.
Patel’s store sold a $15 million winning Florida Lotto ticket a year ago that went unclaimed by the six-month expiration in October. The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each. The estimated cash value of the jackpot is $244.8 million.
That was a $399.4 million prize won in 2013 by someone from SC.
