Powerball tickets sold in MI good for $1M each
Michigan Lottery officials say five Powerball tickets sold in Michigan are good for $1 million each. The numbers drawn were 4-8-19-27-34 and Powerball 10. No word yet on the identities of the winners, who will get $528.8 million each, minus Uncle Sam’s hefty share, reports NBC News. The jackpot had “rolled over” 20 times since November 7, the network notes.

The exact winnings were still being calculated last night, but it was estimated that each of the 12 tickets sold in the state with five of the six winning numbers but not the Powerball were valued at $660,000, Lopez said. Winnings can be taken in annual payments spread over decades or a smaller amount in a lump sum. The $2 tickets were sold at a premium, going for prices from $3 to $4.60.
