The Colorado Lottery said Wednesday night there were no jackpot winning Powerball tickets sold in Colorado. Tennessee officials did not immediately say which of the three Munford stores offering Powerball tickets produced the victor.

There had been 20 Powerball drawings since November 4, the last time there was a winning ticket for the jackpot. Hundreds of people crowded the store and spilled into its parking lot, cheering and mugging for the television cameras and chanting “Chino Hills!” Many chanted, “Chino Hills!” Gary Grief, the chairman of the Multi-State Lottery Association’s Powerball committee, estimated that 85 per cent to 95 per cent of all the possible combinations had been purchased before Wednesday’s draw.
If you are already using one of the apps above to track your ticket you will get a notification if your numbers match the winning Powerball numbers, but if you don’t want anyone to know your numbers you can also use a free app to get a notification when the drawing takes place.
Drivers pass a billboard where the word “billion” has replaced “million” to show the correct amount of the jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, in Nashville, Tenn.
Had there been no victor, the jackpot could have grown to $2 billion, with a cash value of $1.24 billion, ahead of Saturday’s drawing, the Texas Lottery Commission said.
Leading up to Wednesday’s drawing, there were 19 consecutive Powerball drawings with no victor, CNN says.
The California ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven; the Florida ticket at a Publix supermarket and the Tennessee ticket at a family-owned grocery store, where the owner, Dana Naifeh, received a $25,000 check. Three tickets worth $1 million each were purchased in CT, and a single ticket worth $2 million was bought in Iowa.
Tipton County, located just north of Shelby County, has a population of 61,433, according to the Census Bureau’s 2014 American Community Survey.
“I’m hearing anecdotally and through news outlets, millions of people who have never played Powerball before are indeed purchasing a ticket”.
The current jackpot is the biggest ever recorded in the world.

Fourteen other $2 tickets won $50,000 for matching four white balls and the red Powerball.
