Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies arrested McDow, 31, again yesterday afternoon for allegedly violating the curfew requirements of his pre-trial release on Global Positioning System monitoring, BCSO spokeswoman Emily Flax said. Lamarr McDow, who lives with Holmes, was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to the press release, an additional two other individuals were also brought in over the drugs, while a third person of interest is now being held with a $6 million bond. McDow was arrested in November. This Thursday, however, local police officials say that she was cited for possession of marijuana.
Holmes had previously worked at Wal-Mart and McDonalds while supporting her children before her lottery win.
When they went to arrest McDow, detectives noted a strong smell of marijuana, and returned to the home around 10 p.m. with a search warrant. Yesterday, Holmes was charged with possession of weed as well as ownership of apparent marijuana related paraphernalia.
Danell McNeil, 31, and Damarius Simmons, 21, also were cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
A fifth person involved in the incident, Jeffrey Gause, 23, of Shallotte, was charged with resisting a public officer, according to the sheriff’s office. Several children were at the home at the time of the search, she added.
While bail bondsmen typically require a percentage of the total bail to place a bond to secure someone’s release, if someone bailed out of jail is found to be in violation of his early release, whoever put up the bond could be compelled to pay the full bail amount, Flax said.

According the North Carolina Education Lottery website, Holmes, a mother of four, took a $127 million lump sum payment after winning a Powerball jackpot in February.
