“The biggest thing is, I want the money to last as long as we can”, Stewart said.
“I didn’t believe it and then I looked at it carefully again”, Atwal said.
The 7-Eleven owner received $1 million for selling the winning ticket.
Overall, Oregon Lottery Powerball players won over $1.5 million in prizes from last night’s drawing. “I went back to the store and had a cashier scan the ticket”. The Associated Press could not immediately verify the Robinsons claim and lottery officials have so far not announced any winners. The amounts that follow each state’s rules.
Ricardo also said that he would like to buy a new truck and splurge on a nice watch. “We are thankful, we wish the very best for the victor”.
Derek Mooney, general manager of the Wawa on Urbana Pike in Frederick, said he was happy to be part of the win.
The store has been open for about a year, and this is the first major lottery victor it has sold.
“They were rightly a little suspicious”, Townsend said.
Many residents in Nevada, a state that does not sell tickets, crossed the border into California to try their luck.
Wednesday’s drawing included a $2 million prize that was purchased at the Casey’s General Store in Onawa, Iowa.
The official Ohio Lottery site offers more information on instant tickets, raffles and other lottery games. Those prizes range from $4 to $100 – unless you used the multiplier.
Reardon noted that the big victor from the jackpot run is Missouri education.
The winners’ identities remain a mystery, but they bought their tickets in Florida, Tennessee and a Los Angeles suburb where even lottery losers were celebrating Thursday that such heady riches were won in their modest city.
Aside from the jackpot winners in Wednesday’s drawing, some 26 million ticket holders won smaller prizes ranging from $2 million to $4, depending on the combination of numbers matched in the Powerball drawing, said Kelly Cripe, spokeswoman for the Texas lottery.
So far, the victor has not been identified.
