Because there were no jackpot winners, that means the drawing on Saturday, July 30 will be worth $478 million and a cash option of $330.6 million.

With politics dominating the 24-hour news cycle this week, it’s easy to forget that Californians have a shot at a Powerball jackpot estimated at $422 million tomorrow night.

There were 151,861 winning tickets sold in Florida including one that matched five numbers and is worth $2 million.

While no one hit it big in MI, four tickets are good for $50,000 for matching four white balls plus the Powerball.

Jackpot prizes must be claimed within 60 days after the draw to receive the cash option of an estimated $291 million. But the odds of winning the dream jackpot are 1 in nearly 300 million.

You can see Wednesday’s Powerball drawing live before News 6 at 11.

The big Powerball jackpot comes just a couple weeks after the winners of the largest lottery prize in California history finally came forward to claim their winnings. Lawson’s jackpot holds the record for the largest Lottery prize ever won in MI.

Powerball is played in 44 states, but tickets aren’t sold in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada and Utah.

Tickets matching five numbers also were sold in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Purchasing the $1 Power Play option allows a victor to increase lower-tier prizes by a factor of 2, 3, 4 or 5, depending on the Power Play number drawn.
