Predicted XI v Leicester City in the FA Cup

Tottenham finally got the better of Leicester this season at the fourth time of asking as they reached the FA Cup fourth round with a 2-0 victory.

The teams were facing each other for the third time since their first FA Cup meeting on January 10, which ended in a 2-2 draw and forced Wednesday’s replay.

Spurs threatened down their own left flank and Erik Lamela couldn’t keep a Davies cross down, but the opener arrived six minutes before the break.

Still, they couldn’t find a way back into the game, as the central defense pairing of Eric Dier and Kevin Wimmer finished the game strongly.

Meanwhile, for Liverpool, manager Jurgen Klopp has named a slightly stronger team from the first leg, with Simon Mignolet coming into the goal for Adam Bogdan, while Christian Benteke gets another chance to lead the front line again. The home side has lost some of the momentum they had in the first of the season, and are recently having more and more trouble in finding the back of the net. The South Korean dribbled forward, and with Ben Chilwell backing off, ripped a gorgeous shot into the top corner from 15 yards.

“I think he is a very nice guy and a great talent”.

Demarai Gray and Leonardo Ulloa both posed problems down the wing as we neared the interval, but their crosses did nothing more than threaten, dealt with comfortably enough by the Spurs defence.

53′ – SAVE! Gray forces Vorm into an excellent diving stop.

This was the response Ranieri will have wanted from his team, who had suddenly nullified the threat of Spurs and were taking control of the game themselves.

Shortly afterwards though, the second goal did arrive.

Pochettino also made a change on the hour-mark, introducing Harry Kane, and the striker almost made an immediate impact as a powerful drive was parried by Kasper Schmeichel.

As they did in the previous two games between these sides this month, Leicester were content to sit deep and let Spurs make the running. Our passion is to watch football and when you have the possibility to watch, it’s a special moment to detect the talent – sometimes we spend a lot of time watching the training sessions of the under-8s and under-9s, 10, 11, 12s.
