Police were called to the apartment in the Wakefield neighborhood of the Bronx Friday afternoon after receiving a call that an argument had turned physical.

“I seen when they were wheeling her out and they had the blanket over her head”, said neighbor Diana Rivera.
A deranged woman fatally stabbed an expectant mother before cutting a baby girl from the dying victim’s uterus. She had been stabbed repeatedly in her neck and body and also had a deep cut across her stomach, police said.
“A horrific altercation between two 22-year old ladies”.
The victim had also been strangled and the unborn baby removed from her womb, according to NY City councilman Andy King who was briefed by authorities on the case.
Neighbors were rattled by news that a pregnant woman was attacked so brutally in their midst, in an area of the Bronx which is generally considered safe.
Though the police are still trying to figure out the details of the crime, they said it was a “miracle” that the baby had managed to survive the gruesome attack.
Sutton and her daughter were rushed to Montefiore Hospital, where the young mother was pronounced dead. Sources said she’s refusing to allow authorities to examine her. Police are waiting on a search warrant to give her an exam and find out if she’s the one who gave birth, Gold reported. “She was bleeding. It looked like lots of blood”.
It seems that the two women had known each other in school, and Sutton had recently earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at St. John’s. “The police’ve been with her for eight years”, a insane Bradley told The News. “I don’t know what’s going on”.

Charges are now pending against the alleged attacker while she undergoes a psychiatric evaluation. They did not immediately release her identity or the identity of the victim.
