The incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Monticello Avenue and East 241st Street in Wakefield.

A woman has been arrested after a mum-to-be’s throat was slit and her baby girl cut from her womb, it was reported.
A local lawmaker said the woman’s baby survived the attack, but has been hospitalized.
Police sources said Wade had been telling people in her neighborhood that she was pregnant, and that the gruesome abduction may have been an attempt to stand up the story.
“It looks like the baby was surgically removed”, Bronx Councilman Andy King said outside Wade’s house.
Sutton’s family declined to talk to reporters Saturday morning as they left Montefiore Medical Center, where the baby, named Genesis, was recovering.
He added that it appeared to be a case of baby-snatching.
“We was out here for a while before the ambulance took the lady out of the home”.
Witness Diana Rivera told The NY Daily News that she saw the victim being brought out of the home on a stretcher.

It was Patrick Bradley, Sutton’s boyfriend, who found the culprit covered in blood and holding the baby girl, which prompted him to call 911 straight away. “I don’t know what’s going on”.
Blood could be seen splattered over the staircase and in the bathroom on the second floor, said city officials.
For now, the suspect is in police custody, and has been taken to Jacobi Medical Center to undergo psychiatric evaluation. One woman said it was a tragic loss for the young baby who had just stepped into the world.

The suspect, who is also 22, was being questioned and charges are pending. One was allegedly pregnant and there was a fight.
