Premier League is a turn-off, I’d rather watch Salford – Scholes
‘I probably do enjoy watching Salford more, ‘ he wrote in a new book – Class of 92: Out of our League – Our Journey Back to the Heart of the Game – now being serialised in The Guardian. A game that I’ve thought: “Wow!”

“They talk about Italy being a bad league but I don’t think English people look at it”. Almost half of them.
However, Silva and De Bruyne are both likely to start in the City midfield as both sides look to keep their ideal start to the Premier League season intact. Both Man Utd and Man City have gotten off to a ideal start in the Premier Leauge having recorded three wins in three games.
The ex Manchester United man believes Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne are the three best players in the Premier League.
He told The Guardian: “I don’t find elite football as interesting to watch any more, especially in England”. Other than Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, we don’t have the best players. “All the best players are in other countries”, he continued.
Paul Scholes has delivered a damning verdict on former club Manchester United by claiming he would rather watch non-league football.
“There’s some good players, really good players, but it’s not always the best for quality”. I went to watch him once, it was 5-4.
Scholes has been openly critical of his former club since retiring from the game in 2013, and he has also taken aim at the quality of the Premier League, quashing suggestions that it is the best division in world football.
Scholes is essentially right when he says that Messi and Neymar – or players of that calibre – have not come to the Premier League, but that is not to say that the top players do not arrive in the league in general. A game that I’ve thought ‘Wow!’ It’s hard to think of any. It’s hard to think of any.

“The money’s the most important thing these days about football because owners, the majority of them, are just interested in making money for their football club”. They’re purely businessmen, whereas at Barcelona you have a balance between business and football.
