Premier League match report: Swansea 0-2 Hull City
Late goals by Shaun Maloney and Abel Hernandez gave under-strength Hull City a 2-0 win away at Swansea City on Saturday (Aug 20) and a ideal start to their Premier League campaign of two wins from two.

Snodgrass, who scored in their surprise opening win over champions Leicester City, then went close to opening the scoring in the second half as his goalbound effort was blocked by Stephen Kingsley.
And Hernandez ensured Hull returned to the KC stadium with all three points with a calm finish past Lukasz Fabianski.
Shaun Maloney and Abel Hernandez struck late on for the visitors, leaving them third place in the Premier League table, and BBC pundit Sinclair gave his support to Mike Phelan via Twitter.
The Tigers took the lead in the 79th minute when substitute Maloney wriggled free in the box and got on the end of a Robert Snodgrass corner, and then the Scottish worldwide turned provider in injury time when he unselfishly set up Hernandez for a simple finish.
Swansea’s main threat came down the right, with Modou Barrow giving Andrew Robertson plenty to think about.
But Mr Stewart said the council had not recently commented on the proposals in order to allow the takeover by Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan to be completed.
The Iceland global made a sweet connection and the ball seemed destined for the top corner of Eldin Jakupovic’s net before the Tigers goalkeeper tipped it on to the crossbar.
After Barrow’s penalty appeal was refused, Snodgrass set up Adama Diomande and the striker would have done better but for Amat’s last-gasp challenge which just did enough to put him off.
Swansea were becoming increasingly frustrated in their struggle to create chances and it was showing in the theatrical response of their manager Franceso Guidolin in the technical area.
Sigurdsson sent a drive wide after 63 minutes with both teams unable to find quality in the final third, before a Swansea corner was bundled narrowly wide of his own goal by Curtis Davies.

Swansea also claimed three points on the opening weekend, winning 1-0 at Burnley, but were left empty-handed against a determined Hull side.
