Pres. Buhari has a lot to say about Mark Zuckerberg’s ‘simplicity’
Giving insight into how he used his engineering mindset to help build Facebook (FB Tech30), a company that’s now worth north of $360 billion, he admitted giving up coding to manage his company a decision he said was “a little sad but tough”. It is a completely new day and I think that there is so much hope, so much your generation are going to do and I am certainly looking forward to being a part of that. “I’m starting at a place called iHub, where entrepreneurs can build and prototype their ideas”.

Zuckerberg said that at CcHUB, he was able to talk with children at a summer coding camp and entrepreneurs who came to the hub to build and launch their apps.
In a message posted on his personal Facebook page, Zuckerberg expressed his admiration for the pope and “how he’s found new ways to communicate with people of every faith around the world”. He was also spotted jogging on the Lekki Bridge on Wednesday morning.
Twiplomacy, a study of the Twitter accounts of world leaders and their retweet rates, declared the pope “by far the most influential” world leader on Twitter.
In a live Q&A in Rome on Monday, Mark Zuckerberg was asked to name three traits of people who make it to the top.
“And your coming to Nigeria has been especially energizing not just for the young people but for everyone else”.
The Facebook founder’s visit to Nigeria on Tuesday August 30 is his first to sub-Saharan Africa.
“The energy here is unbelievable and I’m excited to learn as much as I can”.
That last issue is something Zuckerberg is trying to change. He met Mr Buhari and vice president Yemi Osinbajo. He said Zuckerberg learned a few words of Yoruba and spoke of his love of languages. “We could take a partnership approach like the model we have with connectivity and partner with local operators, banks and governments”.
He also said that the goal of the application right now is to grow its user base.
Sahara Group Chief Executive, Tonye Cole, said the decision to sponsor the event was informed by the passion to invest in Nigeria’s future, through the youth of today.
He also confirmed that now Nigeria hosts about 18 million Facebook users, making it the largest country of Facebook users in Africa.

For The use of Facebook to grow, he however said there is need for more investment in infrastructure which can at least work on a 2G network, adding that there is expectation that the country will move in tandem with time and development. In the next year I am sure it is going to be bigger and better. “Nollywood sounds like a national treasure and the ability to produce video content that is moving and emotional transcends boundaries and will help tell stories of the wonderful innovation, engineering and culture to the whole world”.
