Prescott, Cowboys bounce back with 26-20 win over Tampa Bay

You don’t say? Thirty-two of 36 is historically efficient.

Gracing the cover were photos of nine Cardinals and manager Red Schoendienst. It just goes to show that the fickle, week-to-week nature of the National Football League can provide wild swings fortune that only the most realistic fans can absorb and process. However, he was just 17 for 35 with three interceptions, four sacks, and a costly headbutt. He reads things well, he understands what we want to do against what the defenses are doing, and he throws the ball to the right guy. Not that Prescott, a fourth-round pick who started training camp as the No. 3 quarterback, was surprised. Still, the Cowboys racked up 449 yards (setting yet another team record with the ninth such game in a single season), dominated time of possession, and thanks to the leg of Dan Bailey eked out enough points to secure the victory.

Dak Prescott had no interest in joining fellow rookie Ezekiel Elliott for the Salvation Army kettle jump. “It was even more awesome to watch Zeke (Elliott) do it in person …”

The Dallas Cowboys are not supposed to be where they are right now. “Just another really good performance by him”.

The play of Cowboys linebacker David Irving in the fourth quarter of this game was astonishing as the team may have finally found a clutch pass rusher in this young defensive unit. “I didn’t really give much input on it, just thought it would be amusing”.

But Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker, Elliott’s former Ohio State teammate, said he’s thrilled to see him putting up big numbers in what might be a rookie-of-the-year season. On their opening drive, Winston connected with Adam Humphries for a 42 yard touchdown pass, before leading an 81-yard drive to give his team a 20-17 advantage, courtesy of a ten-yard throw to tight end Cameron Brate. The subsequent Cowboys drive ended with them reclaiming the lead with a field goal.

Bailey missed two in a game for the first time since his rookie year in 2011.

With the scores level at 20-20, Tampa were in the ascendancy, but when Dallas safety Jeff Heath made an interception on Jameis Winston, all of the momentum left the Buccaneers.

In something of a throwback to the early weeks of the season, the Buccaneers defense failed to generate a pass rush and all but failed to augment the offense by either taking the ball away or scoring on its own. It also marks a 31% uptick from last year’s Week 15 match up between the Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles (11.7). The good news for Tampa Bay is that going 2-0 while the Falcons lose at least once guarantees the division crown, since the Bucs would own the tiebreaker between the two. However, since he purchased the team in 1989 at a time when they were actually losing money, the franchise’s value has appreciated exponentially.

Correct! Twitter is indeed streaming a number of Thursday night games, but not all of them, and not tonight’s Sunday Night Football matchup.
